Hello All,
Just wanted to share this quick fix for Wicd error message (Shown Below) , hope it helps!
In the event you encounter this error message while trying to open Wicd,
Try the solution below :
1) Reboot your Backtrack.
2) Once Backtrack starts up again, open up a terminal. DO NOT open your Wicd yet.
3) Now in the terminal, type in the following commands :
root@bt:~# dpkg-reconfigure wicd
root@bt:~# update-rc.d wicd defaults
4) Now reboot your Backtrack one more time and that should fix your problem. It fixed mine so goodluck!
